Nha and her mom moved to Orange County specifically to find a program that would help her achieve her vocational and long-term goals. Nha loves computers, animals, and Disney movies. She has previously worked short-term at a movie theatre, a library, and an animal shelter through her previous employment program.
When Nha began with CSP, she and her mom loved the idea of Customized Employment to help her explore a variety of jobs. Through exploration, Nha showed that she is a fast learner and would like to work somewhere quiet. After volunteering and participating in Customized Employment Discovery, she began to apply to jobs in the community. She really enjoyed the idea of working at a movie theatre. In April 2024, Nha applied to the CSP Peer Mentor program to become a peer mentor. She expressed motivation to help others and carried a delightfully friendly sense of humor and personality. This academic year, she will begin mentoring the incoming new students joining CSP. The skills she learns in this position will be useful in her future jobs in an office or administrative setting.
